SURF COACH LES LANDES

Hugo Pergent, surf instructor in Capbreton, originally from the southwest of France, grew up between Les Landes and the Basque Country. Surfing became an integral part of my life from the age of 5. Today, I can proudly say that the surf spots of Les Landes hold no secrets for me.

My global adventure (Bali, Reunion Island, Mexico…) in search of the perfect wave eventually brought me back to surf in Capbreton, a place close to my heart. My professional journey began at a young age as a lifeguard on the busy beaches of the Basque-Landes coast, before diving into the world of surfing by working in one of Europe’s largest surf shops in Soorts-Hossegor. These experiences allowed me to gain extensive expertise in surf equipment, ensuring I could buy the best surf gear for my surf school in Les Landes (boards, lycras, wetsuits…).

Teaching surfing in Les Landes became an obvious path and my true passion after obtaining my BPJEPS surf instructor diploma from the French Surf Federation.

Having enhanced my skills in several institutions, I have given hundreds of surf lessons in Capbreton, elsewhere in Les Landes, and even on Reunion Island. Wanting to focus on a project that truly reflects who I am, that’s how the “Ecole de Surf Landes – Yougotothebeach” (my nickname) was born, a place dedicated to learning surfing and the passion it brings.

I am patient, attentive, and enthusiastic, always ready to push my students beyond their usual limits while ensuring absolute safety. For me, surfing in Capbreton is more than a sport; it’s a way to surpass yourself with the greatest confidence. My goal is to provide you with personalized coaching, whether in group surf lessons or private surf lessons in Les Landes, to turn your surf experience into unforgettable moments.
